Plastic shrinkage cracks occurs when the surface of the concrete dries too quickly and shrinks before the bed has cured enough to resist cracking.

The Evaporation Rate meter allows you to enter the temperature of your concrete mix, then measure conditions at the site. The meter has the American Concrete Institute Evaporation Rate nomograph built in, and displays the Evaporation Rate on the screen with no calculations.
