Static Cone Penetrometer

Static Cone Penetrometers are used to evaluate the consistency of soils, their level of compaction and the bearing capacity of shallow foundations and pavement sub-grades. Pressure gauge ranging from 0 to 70 kg/cm² directly reads cone resistance. Use in fine grained soils to depths of 30 feet with a 60° cone with an area of 1.5 cm². An optional cone is available with a 3 cm² area for use in very soft soils. Set includes a 60° cone with 1.5 cm² area, 24" starter rod, pressure gauge marked in kg/cm², operating instructions and parts list.
